Thanks for your question. It is a carbon block filter with 9 7/8 inch in length, 2.5 inch in diameter, 1 micron rate. It will not reduce water flow normally, to ensure your best using experience, Could you please take one picture of your previous filter? What is the function do you expect the filter to have? 1-1/8 inch or 1.125 inches. Sorry don't have a metric tape. BTW, love these filters. Been on well for 5 years just using a paper filter. Our water is crystal clear and clean already. Rarely changed the paper element. About every 2 years for good measure. This filter did not reduce the water pressure but did reduce the flow by maybe 5 percent. But totally worth the fact that now the water tastes better. Is less hard from the Magnesium/Calcium in the water. Almost the same taste as running the old water through a Brita Filter. Brita is a .5 micron and these are 1 micron. Just wish I had gotten these 5 years ago.---v*** b. p* j*. · Jan. 12th, 2020

Q: I collect rain water, the water is slightly yellow. Will this help bringing the water clear? I have tried other 1micron filters. [2022-11-02 11:43:04]

Thanks for your question. lf the yellow color in water is due to smaller particles then they can be reduced by this filter. If it is some kind of chemical things which are yellow ,the filter is not suitable.Since it is rain water,I think it should contain those samller particles so I think this filter can reduce the yellow color but can not say it would 100%remove. How is the effect since you tried other 1 micron filters?

No, it does not come with a wrench. Your filter case should have come with a wrench. With a little muscle, you might unscrew the case. Then upon reinstalling, put some vaseline on the threads so that the next time you want to replace the filter, then the case will come right off. You don't need a wrench to tighten the case. Hand tighten only (unless it leaks or you don't have the strength to tighten).By v** b. p**. on June 29, 2020
